and now back to tomatoes
Last rites for the maiden hair fern and utter amazement at the hydrangea that refuses to give up after a near death experience. Even the Japanese maple saplings have sprouted new leaves, allowing me hope that a bonsai project may finally materialize. It is gardening time once again on the balcony.
The annual tomato plants were set out a few weeks ago. Basil grows large in a red clay flower pot next to them. Only a matter of time before summer salads can be had, picked fresh from the garden outside the front door.
